new user moderation

I need to find a way to moderate new users based on the following permissions (such as minimum posts requirement - i.e. 15 posts and 7 days registration)

- no email contact (send)
- no private messages (send)
- no signatures
- no visitor messages

It seems creating a new usergroup would not be suitable since all defaul registrations go to the default member group.

You make a duplicate on your "Registered Users" group, and then limit the Registered Users group, leaving your duplicate as the one with "full" member permissions. Then just setup a promotion in the Admin CP.
