Hi,
I have been searching all over for the mod that allows you to quote users and see a big speech mark around their quoted post (as is the case on this forum). I have just installed a fresh copy of VBulletin 3.7.2 last night and would really like to add this mod.
Another one that I really like is the ability to add youtube videos onto your home page from threads in a certain category in your forum. I once saw this hack/mod on this site months ago I think but for the life of me, I just cant see it anymore.
If anyone knows I would be very greatful if you could advise what the above two mods are called so that I could try to find them again and install them.
Thanks in Advance!
TCZ

Think I have found the mod:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=173083&highlight=YouTube
All the videos on forum home are picked up from a video pot in the forum and put on the 1st page.Still cant see the one that allows you to see quoted text like it appears on this site :(

Look in Princeton's profile for the quote style.

OK looks like the mod I posted above is not the right VB You Tube mod I need. I need one that displays the videos from any forum with video links in it to the home page....is that vbtubepro???

Sorry Dismounted. I had that quote working on my old forum but ive had to move it and with it a new install and it no longer works on the new site. I copied every setting over exactly the same on vb 3.7.2
my forum in /subdomain
path to image folder is /subdomain/forum/images/misc
I've installed that edit to look for the image in /images/misc/q.gif <-- in maincss /additional css
yet when I do a quote the Line shows up to show the length of the quoted post but no " speech mark". Any help appreciated please..ty
ps: I have checked and checked again and copied a new q.gif over numerous time with no luck :(

Make sure you have the image in the style's miscellaneous folder as well.

its definetly in there Sir. But still it doesnt show up.
my forum is in
/subdomain/forum/
path to images is:
/subdomain/forum/images/misc <---- in here is q.gif
I added this line in MAIN.CSS which should be relative path to the images folder from my forum or vbulletin install:
background: url(/images/misc/q.gif) 0 0 no-repeat;
in my forum it just displays a big grey line vertically when I quote someone but no image :(
I dont think I copied it to my styeles image folder but I can goive that ago! I will update you tonight to let you know how it went. Thanks for that advice...
