I have 3.6.8 at the moment. What would be the easiest and quickest way to upgrade?

Also I have edited the default skin. Well I paid someone. Would this need doing all over again? I hope not. My skin isn't to different. It's basically a smaller version of the default with no images added in.

Thanks,
BlueEew.

Upgrading instructions are in the manual (http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/).

You may not have too much template editing to do, but you may have to settle for the default skin until you can get around to doing it.

My template can be found here:

http://www.pokeproject.net/forums/index.php

Just to show that it is still basically the defaut with width edits.

Also I can simply add the changes to the template rather then starting from scratch?

you shouldn't have any problems updating, it looks like the template is pretty much default :)

You know when I download the new package. Should I make the changes to the new config.php file? I think I have to leave it as congif.php.new. Am I correct?

...or you can just delete the new config.php file in the download package. Keep your current config.php intact - no need for change. ;)

I'm not sure on that coz the 3.7.2 config.php it's little diferent ( at least in the header ) from the 3.6.8 but make the updates to the php are so simple ..

Just make the updates in the new config.php and then upload it and replace the old one ..

Okay is these steps correct:

Download 3.7.2.
Close live forums.
Make backup [Incase].
Then change the upload folder to "forums" so it's the same as the one on my server.
Upload it and click overwrite all.
Then launch the URL with upgrade.php to upgrade.

Yup, and also disable any add-ons you may use, such as the Google toolbar - don't want to be causing any crashes. ;)

Tapage, there's no need whatsoever to change the config.php unless stated otherwise in the release announcement, at least that's what I was taught. :)

You *may* want to use the new 3.7 config.php, it has new options, such as using XCache as the datastore.
