I need someone to upgrade my vbulletin board (v3.6.8 patch level 2) to v3.7.2
If you will do this for me for free, PM me and tell me all of the info and stuff you need to know to upgrade...

What's the catch? Why not do it yourself? It's as easy as pie, anybody can do it.

Is your board still standard? So no mods/hacks, or is it heavilly modded?

I can do it for you but first take off the arcade to make sure it doesn't mess up.

I must warn you against giving out your access details to someone you don't know. Hiring someone can already be a risk, letting someone do it "for free" only increases the risks.
I strongly suggest you read the manual and just try it yourself after making a good backup.

i upgraded mine fine without the need to remove the arcade................
It is actuly very easy to upgrade, upload all the files apart from 1 or 2 and then go to the upgrade file in the install folder and it will do it for you!

yes. What everyone is saying is you need to disable the arcade during upgrade and then you can re enable it.

Well I suggest you remove the arcade because last time I did upgrade with it the arcade got screwed up terribly and db errors kept popping up till I removed it and added the arcade for that version of vB. And no I will not steal anything from you. Just give me some good feedback when I am done if It works out right and I will be good to do it for you.

You can also disable the arcade.
Then upgrade the forums
Then upgrade the arcade to the new forum version
Then re-enable the arcade.
I agree with Marco van Herwaarden about the security, but that risk you always have if you give somebody full access to do something like a board upgrade.
I suggest you change passwords before you give anybody access.
After the work is done, change your passwords again and check the userdatabase for who has admin access.
If possible change the mysql password too (don't forget to change that in the config.php too then), so there is no chance somebody can get in by that way.
I would like to do it for you too, if possible at nighttime (GMT+2) because then I'm mostly active.
