Hi
I wanted to put a different icon front of each forum. So i installed a "category hack" but it was not compatible with 3.7...but someone said that now it's built in vBulletin, so i checked, and there is something to put image yes, but i didn't understand how to do it, can you help me?
The function is in forum manager:
Prefix for Forum Status Images
(This prefix will be used on status image filenames for a forum, it can only contain A-Z, 0-9, -, _, . and /)
Thx

say you have a forum called "ps3", in the forum prefix box add the prefix "ps3_" (without quotes) and then get your icon and call it ps3_forum_new.gif and upload it to images/statusicon
you I have images for locked and old,
so what I have done is have the same image set to grey scale and call it ps3_forum_old.gif
also add a small padlock img and call it ps3_forum_new_lock.gif
and so on...
that should work!
check out my clans new forum here as I have done it with sub forums also!

ya I noticed all that !! Your icons, gradients, mouse-hover, smooth bright colors make it look cool.
hmm.. to be true, I have never seen such a long domain name before. Maybe that can make people back off from joining. I highly recommend you to change it or use a domain alias primarily. Its just a sweet, friendly opinion.
P.S. lol mods would close this thread or infract if we continue this discussion here. better to post it in community reviews.

Hello Danny,
Thank for the tip.
I tried it out on my forum and it is currently showing as a category icon.
But What about if I want to show also a smaller version of the icon as subforum?
I tried to do something like myicon_subforum_old.gif but is not working while the myicon_forum_old.gif (for the category) is fully working.
Thanks
Iron
