Force Style on Redirect

Is there a way to force pages to display a certain style after you've linked a forum to them using the redirect option?

Add the "styleid" GET variable.
eg.
http://www.domain.com/forum/page.php?styleid=4

But wont that then set the user's global forum view to that style once he clicks on it, even if it's not a selectable option in the drop down style menu?
