I disabled plugins and still get this error when trying to save changes made in the admin countrol panel:

Fatal error: in /homepages/forums/includes/adminfunctions_options.php on line 678Any suggestions?

Otherwise my upgrade from 3.6.8L2 to current went well.

Have any of you experienced this?
How did you fix?
I disabled all plugins and still get this error, Steve at vB says it's plugins though. Is he right?

He is right, its probably due to a custom "setting" option. I haven't got vBulletin with me at the moment so I can't provide any advice. Check the threads for the modifications you have installed, see if anyone else is experiencing what you are.

Disabling the plugins will not fix it as the settings still remain in the options, even when they are disabled.

Drat.

That will take a bit of doing. I will report back...

Could it be one of the hack bitfield files still lurking in the includes/xml directory?

Good idea. Thanks. I have noted a lot of files there related to vBseo. Perhaps the version of their software I am running is not compatible with 3.7 vB.

No, its to do with the settings. Something has gone wrong somewhere.

Do you get the error when trying to view options for a specific modification/settings group?

Is this the entire error page you get?

Just when trying to save anything in admincp.

Is this the entire error page you get?

yes.

HOWEVER - per a suggestion I read online, I played with tools.php and did language and settings. Now the whole thing is bagged,

Fatal error: The requested language does not exist, reset via tools.php. in [path]/includes/functions.php on line 1340

I think I need to start over. What do you think?

I suggest you start a support ticket.

Okay, I just checked and for a few things I get a very similar error page, like the table vB code modification. Any real reason for the problem asked about in this topic?

You tracked it down to table vb code? I have that plugin as well. Was it a file in the includes folder?

No includes file that I can see, but I'll investigate and post back.

Upgrading the mod to the 3.7 compatible version removed the error for me.

Thanks a lot. I hope this was my issue. I still received the error after disabling plugins, did you as well?

Hadn't tried that, because disabling plugins I try to avoid now.
