Sorry i cant help.The COPPA is enabled. The default vBulletin age verification is suppost to display upon registration.

I had a modifcation called "product-pbregrulesremove.xml". That bypassed the registration agreement page, yet it also passed the age verification.

I am still looking into the bot registration. I will be watching the NoSpam! modification. Wish the best luck for this modification. I really want it to work!

I've installed vBulletin 3.8.2 and am having major issues. When you go to register, it says you have not answered the noSpam! question correctly...except the question doesn't actually appear on the registration form. Is there a fix for this?

I had the same problem so I was forceed to turn the module off yesterday.

Since then the forum has been overun by spam!

If anyone is able to assist getting this to work with 3.8 it would be greatly appreciated. It really is the best anti spam product available by miles.

Hi

I have a forum in which the User can choose his language. So if a italian choose Italien in the drop-down menu at the buttom, all menus, buttons etc. are shown in italien.

Registration language is then also automatically in italien. Only the anti-spam questions stay in English.

How can I adapt this mod the same way as with the normal vbulletin language on user preferences?

Hey man thought I would come and post a sincere "Thank You" :D We have implemented NoSpam @ our site to stop the random spamming @ our forums from everything like Viagra pills to cellular phone plans lol well for us @ wowenforcers .net It worked very well so far......It might be able to be bypassed but really we monitor our forums quite well too and yes we've seen a 98% improvement in the amount of spam we were getting. This is an added layer of spam protection. With vB, you have the built in EITHER question or image verification. I use image verification on vB and then add NoSpam to use as my question/answer for verification. Therefore, you have doubled the protection against spam :)

And vB's built in version is lacking in some features this one has. Like you can't use HTML in the default question (I use a lot of image matches for mine). You can't have multiple answers for the same question. And you have to enter each question in one at a time and save each time. This one is much more efficient.

This hasn't worked at all for me, installed it in combination with cyb advanced forum rules making a few random questions for registrant to answer and had two bots sign up today and create about 30 new threads :S

Today i did unable this on my vb4 and it worked perfect for what we wanted anyways, however I have this error message on the registration page and since is screwing the page up i will dissable it for the time been.

I second the request for a vb4 upgrade. I've been using vbStopForumSpam and it is pretty terrible. Lots of people are being turned away as spammers when they aren't really. I even tried to register a Test user name with a gmail email address and it said I was a spammer.

We desperately need NoSpam!. Never had a problem with it at all and is incredibly easy. Make it hap'n!

Honestly, please update this for VB4.

The older version completely screws up the formatting of the registration screen under Firefox, and when I disabled NoSpam, I had a bot creating a thread within about 10 minutes.

Now, i'm torn between users who struggle to register, or spambots trying to sell stuff.

You are aware that there are 'no spam' options in vB4 by default, right? I think I've had maybe one spammer sign up for my site since moving to vB4 and it was a person...

Verification Questions are also available in your Registration Options. They're just not as flexible as NoSpam!

It has it's own link in your vB Options. It's called Human Verification.

Wanted to use vB's Image Verification and Q&A together for registration. Didn't seem I could do that in vB, so I'm using this mod for the Q&A. FWIW, it seems to work well (so far) in vB 3.8.5. Installed! Thanks for the mod!

I liked this better than what Jelsoft provided, however I'm on 4.x version of vbulletin now, which is not supported.

Replacing solution with VSA Advanced Registration (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=236117&highlight=advanced+registration) (which has a similar option at least at the registration page.)

Update: it's working horribly, and I have spam all over the place because my forum allows guest posting. It looks like I'll have to turn guest posting off until NoSpam! is updated for v 4.x

So far it seems to be working on 3.8.7. I only have it enabled for registration and guest posting. I wish I could find a mod that simply restricted the unregistered usergroup from posting images/links, but none of the ones I've tried actually work. I suspect a compatibility issue with another plugin, perhaps AME. This isn't exactly what I wanted, but it's an extra step that will hopefully force a human to read the quiz question that also indicates that their spam will go into moderation and never be approved anyway. I hope it cuts down on some of the spam that does go into the moderation queue.

If spammers are getting in you either have human spammers which can't be stopped, or you need to have better questions. What does 2 + 2 =? is a bad question, it can easily be answered by a computer.

Like many others, my spam registrations are out-of-control lately. I use this hack and my questions would have to been looked up by someone not familiar with my forum's subject matter in order to be answered.
