Hello everyone,

I'd like to find a mod or a hack that I can install that will automatically put tags around links when users forget to do it themselves.

I'm always after them to code their links, but many forget leaving me and my moderators with quite a headache.

I'd like to know if you can provide links to something or make something that will do this for me.

Example:

Bob posts this message:

Hi people, check out this site! http://google.com/

Bob fails to code his link, so it is automatically coded upon his press of submit, and will look like this:

Hi people, check out this site! http://google.com/

All hope is appreciated, I would greatly appreciate the assistance of anyone able to assist me.

FYI: I am running vBulletin 3.7.1

Sincerely,

Opserty

You mean like this: Auto Code ALL Links (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=151746&highlight=code+around+links) ?

Yes, exactly. You're a lifesaver!

It would be nice if there was something more current, or something that didn't require source edits, but this will do for now. I'm not a huge fan of mods targeted towards older versions, but I'm desperate.

If anyone has other ways to do this, feel free to post them. All help is highly appreciated.

Mods for older versions will probably still work on newer versions... not every single line of code is changed when a new version is released. I don't think there is a simple way (if any way at all) to get round this modification without file edits.
