I have a very large forum, over 96K users, 3.5 million posts and 180K threads. As many as 1500-2000 users/guests can be on at any given time. The server being used is pretty high-end.
Some of my users have issues with creating threads. The problem only happens in the two largest sections of the forum, which house over 1 million posts a piece.
The person creates the thread, there is a long wait and then it times out. Sometimes it happens and other times it does not. Pretty much hit and miss. I increased the execution timeout to 60 seconds which helped some users but not everyone. Replying to threads is very quick and no issues with creating threads in smaller sections of the forum.
Is there a way around this or some kind of a fix?
