Today I receive this email:
Recently your account 'howieforums' has been causing high load on the server.
This is a serious problem as it degrades server performance for all of our
clients whom you share the server with. High loads cause problems such as
delayed e-mail and slow site loading times. I have created this ticket
(#2995963) on your behalf to track this problem more efficiently. The following
applications/scripts appear to be causing the high load:
- Apache (CPU usage)
- /forum/misc.php?show=ccbmessages
Apache on your account is consistently using about 12% of the server's CPU.
Your hosting plan allows you to use up to 1%.
I am not a real experienced with vBulletin. this misc.php? that is causing so much load, what can I do about it? or is there nothing I can do about it? I have about 15 users simultaneously on my forum at one time, most of the times less.
He said I can go with a semi dedicated, but I am still limited to 5% CPU load, which he said I average even over that.
Any ideas? I don't really have the money for a dedicated. Or does anyone know where I can get a dedicated for relatively cheap?
