Why is that so?
This mod is actually pretty simple and I managed to set it up within a very short time. On top of that, I am one which have zero knowledge about html and ajax prior to this. :)
Do feel free to let us know if you need any help. We will be more than happy to do so ;)
Cheers!

If I'm just wanting to screen the basic form features, I take it I don't need to install all of the .xml files, right?
Do I just use the disable text area .xml?

RedGTiVR6,,,
Yes thats right!
Try them all for testing if U like... If you want to see the validation take affect you must upload the clientscript folder to correct path...
This mod is to help folks that want to add ajax dropdowns, textbox options and validation to FORM HACK forms by ABE1...
Some of the ajax forms require a bit of javascript knowledge to integrate with your new forms...
If you test and find any issues please post so that we all can make changes to make better forms...

I'm trying to add just the triple drop down code into an existing form. How would I do this?

How do you want to go about doing it and at which stage are you at at this this moment?
I may not be very good in programming stuff but I'll see if I can help.

Deepdog009,
I see that there is a "Ajax Dual Dropdowns Form ver{1}.zip" which appears to be a little different in the dropdowns codings. Is this something new that I have missed out?
I haven't get any chance to do much of a testing as I have been sick for the past one week and is still in the stage of recovery.

I already have the 4.0 Form Hack done, the only thing I'm waiting for is to implement a birthday question so I want the triple dropdown for month/day/year. I already have a birthday question but with only one drop down for month (placeholder).

From what I see, what you need seem to be pretty straight forward (unless you want to make it into something that is really complicated).
In fact, if you just need to have a simple dropdown for your users to select month, day and year without any fanciful stuff, you might not need the triple dropdown add-on at all.

oh? I thought that was the only way to do it?

Not really. The double and triple dropdown are actually more useful if you need to have a list of standard values tied to another value. You can use it for your birth date entry but that will required lots of condition checking if I am not mistaken. :)

One thing just came across my mind. By using a simple dropdown, you might have problem with the year especially if the list is long. I'm not sure if there's any other alternative for this.

Deepdog009,
Just tested your Ajax Dual Dropdowns Form ver{1} and here are the problems that I discovered.
Testing was done by selecting all required values in $dropanswer1, $dropanswer2, $dropanswer21, $dropanswer22, $dropanswer23 and perform a preview before submitting the form. (Attachment "01 - All values selected.JPG")
Issues in Dual dropdown
$dropdownanswer1 remain in selected value but cannot select value in $dropdownanswer2 anymore. (Attachment "02 - How form look like after preview.JPG")
At this stage, selecting a different value from $dropdownanswer1 will bypass the issue but this is not a solution as some people might not notice the error and went straight for the "Submit" button after they perform a preview.
Issues in Triple dropdown
Values selected for $dropanswer21, $dropanswer22, and $dropanswer23 were all reset to default after preview. (Attachment "02 - How form look like after preview.JPG")

Ok I tried to take my existing form and integrate it into the triple drop down hack. Right now I am unsure how to exactly set the triple drop down code up. Here is my code for the form template.

I am looking for a way to require the user to choose something in the dropdown and not use the default.
For example... my dropdown would look like this:
choicea: - Choose Option -
choiceb: Dropdown 1
choicec: Dropdown 2
choiced: Dropdown 3
choicee: Dropdown 4
choicef: Dropdown 5
If this is a required field, of course it should not be able to choose choicea.. so is it possible to adapt the form verification to ensure that choiceb-f are the only one able to be chosen in this required field?
