why isnt there any stickys with like valuable information for people all new to this? How to do stuff? anything. Like install a mod, change a template? or maybe make this more user friendly in finding stuff.
Maybe put a sticky in the MOD section with DETAILED intructions how to do it.

Installing modifications are different for each and every modification. Most authors have an install.txt, readme.txt (or some other type) or installation instructions on their modifications. Changing templates are also different per modification.

The second one you upload through the ACP. But the first one you need to post within the thread.

post within a thread??? Please is there detailed instructions anywhere? What he's saying is that if you are having difficulties installing a modification, ie. the readme file or instructions in the thread aren't clear, then you need to post in the modification thread for help/clarification. That is the best place to get help with the modification since they know the modification best.

As Lynne stated, you post within the modification thread as they should know their modification the best.

The vBulletin Manual (http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html) is a very useful resource.
