This hack is compatible with vBulletin 3.5 and 3.6

AutoBump is a tool that bumps threads that meet certain admin-set conditions for a certain period of time. It is intended for busy forums in which some threads are buried before a user's question can be addressed.

AutoBump will run as a cron job every 30 minutes and will Bump threads according to the conditions you set in the admincp.

Settings include:
Reply Count Limit - Restrict threads bumped by their reply count.
Bump Threshold - Restrict threads bumped by their original post date. (To prevent threads from being perpetually bumped).
ForumID List to AutoBump - Specify which forums ought to be affected by AutoBump.Don't forget to Install (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/vborg_miscactions.php?do=installhack&threadid=181305).

There is really nothing to show. It automatically bumps threads, there is no user interface to speak of except the admin options which I detailed in my post.

ah its all good
just it may cause a bit more server stress for the high user forums

I don't see how it would cause a significant amount of server stress... It only runs as a cron job every 30 minutes and only affects threads posted within set parameters. (thus it won't be updating a large amount of threads on any given instance of the cron job)

Very usefull mod, really helps, thank you.

PS: would it be possible to include the option "exclude sticky's" for a next version?

It doesn't update the top thread on forumhome.

Great Hack.. thanks to release this..

One request: is possible to add one button or one link to bump selected thread?

Regards. :)

Installed, would love if we could designate a username and have it post a reply to bump it.

I've been having a problem with this hack on my site. Here's what it's doing:

More info.. at 11:00 they stopped bumping and they are all marked as 11:00. Soo, it looks like somwehre "around" 10:00 (AZ time) it start bumping them and keeps bumping them every minute until 11:00 (AZ time).. then it stops.

I have the cron job set to run every 10 hours.

What am I missing??

This could be very useful but I might suggest that you allow the time to be bumped to be a chosen one rather than every 30 minutes. I would use it once a day.

And one other feature would be to bump all open threads and ignore closed threads.

Thanks for your work on this...

This looks good but what would be great is if someone could do a hack that bumps a specific selected thread every so often. :)

This is just what I need except one thing - I would like to set which usergroups this bumps. I want to ad a premium service to our classifieds forums where their posts will autobump - but I don't want non-premium users being bumped.

Please help, I'll make a donation if you can add this functionality - many thanks.

ForumID List to AutoBump - Specify which forums ought to be affected by AutoBump.

I just added a new forum to my site and did not include it's I.D. in the box mentioned above. Even so it is still bumping posts from that forum.

What's up with that??

Anyone tried this on VB4?

Also, the following features would be a nice addition I think:

1. Ability to enable/disable based on Usergroup
2. Ability to set a maximum number of bumps

Works great on 4.0.3 :)

Firstly, thank you so much for this mod, I appreciate your work! I was wondering what I should set the settings to if I want the cron to run once every Sunday? Should the minute be * where it will run just once on Sundays, or would doing that make it run every single minute on Sundays? Thanks for any help in advance! :)
