Why can't I use the verticle postbit instead of the horizontal one

Ok so I went to Vb Options -> Styles and Language -> Use Legacy (Vertical) Postbit Template: Yes

But it is still in horizontal mode, why is this?

Seeing as you provide no link to your site and dont provide much detail, im going to take a stab in the dark and guess that your using a CUSTOM style and its hard coded into the templates to use horizontal by default due to the style design.
