Hi,

I want to add a review system to a web site that is integrated with vBulletin and the VB login system.

Does anyone know how this web site http://www.pbnation.com/reviews/ has added this review feature. This is how I want it to work.

Thanks!

It looks like a custom coded modification - have you tried asking them?

Hi,

How can you tell that it is a custom job? Any idea what it would take for me to do something like this myself or hire someone to do it?

Yes, I did ask them but have not heard back yet.

I heard back from PBNation and the review system that they have in place is a custom job that is not easily made into a module :(

Does anyone have a good recommendation for a review/rating system that will come close to what PBNation.com has?

Seems much like an modified GARS to me. Different rating images, custom fields can be done within GARS. Average rating and number of reviews (replies) is not available in GARS. Even though the functionality is is waaay better than a normal GARS install, I am not impressed by the outdated design.

If you have the possibility, then ask a coder to code something for you.

Here is discussion about another hack on the same site:
Hey guys, I just had a quick question. I searced here for the ban log viewer mod exemplified on this site but I did not seem to find what I am looking for.

http://www.pbnation.com/banlogdisplay.php

Does anyone know the name of this hack? If not, where can I obtain one that doesn't create the bans or add ban options, it just displays the ban on the banlogdisplay.php page. Thanks in advance for the help! :D

Funny thought... if one is a member, how about asking the Admin of the board what the name of the hack is and where it could be obtained?

Basically I did that with another hack they had and they told me that it was a custom code created by them (it really was a very popular published hack) and they said they owned the code and would not release it, but I'm guessing that they will say the same thing if I asked them about this one.

Its a shame that no review software makes use of AJAX display features.
