No, but if you can tell me where you got that neat editor. :)

What I would do is look in the CSS for a field filled in with that color. Change it and see if it makes a difference....
That's usually how I do mine--trial and error.

Sure, but I'm going to give you the short version of this story.

1. I've seen a lot of custom vb boards, and one thing I never seen was a customized editor and since my board had a ton of custom graphics it was hard to imagine the basic vb editor on the custom skins we made, so I decided to change the editor.

2. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v318/scorpion_666/SS-Editor-4.gif

--- too much pixelation --- images being cut off --- can't even remember what that star does --- small size for the images was useless --- hated the color bar

3. Used PNG's for Forum Images on my board, loved the smoothness of the images, then seen this https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=165720

--- didn't like the size --- wasn't ecstatic about the basic/standard imagery (( plus and minus really, good so that people know what they are, but I wanted something more unique ))

4. I went into the three relative templates and changed the size to 30 pixels x 30 pixels and the file extension to png

5. Of the images 9 were Found, 16 were Modified from Images Found, and 12 I created myself. Unable to release images, since I can't remember all the locations I found them of the 9. I could release the mega size button, templates though as a template mod. Of the 11 Custom BB Codes, I did 6 of them with help from the community on 2 of them, and the other 4 I believe were modifications released here. The other 5 were done by Psionic Vision.

6. After completing those custom bb codes I had given up after an argument with Ashley Busby from vb.com along time ago in regards to the final piece of the puzzle, but I thought "what the hell" I'll tell PV about it and see what he thinks. So I showed him my idea (http://codingforums.com/showthread.php?t=135493) and he charged me next to nothing to do the final change to the editor, shown now, and after the original post.

So after recoloring all the 40 different paintbuckets

...and with Psionic Visions code,...it came to life, lol.

I would have posted this as a follow up to the job, but they removed my thread I think when I stated I had hired someone. So I have no recourse to give him feedback aside from a whopping rep hit. But I would rate him 9.7/10, as totally perfect is probably unrealistic and I guess ONE bb code didn't work right away due to me being on 3.6 and him on 3.7, but inside I'm feeling 10 because I wanted that paintbucket HUGE!!!

The goals of the editor were:

No Dead Space
Bigger Buttons Reflecting More Common Large Monitor Size
Instead of Color Bar Have Image Change Color
Combination BB Codes of Commonly Used Things - i.e. "Bold + Center + Size 4"
Unique and Colorful Presentation

To create something similar, find the images you'd like to use, change the file type extensions in the templates, and change the size of the buttons. Of course my template release won't help everyone but our forum was already like 900 pixels wide due to other constraints, so we had space to fill. :)

P.S. It was hard, and very time consuming, so yes...I AM proud of it.;)

What I would do is look in the CSS for a field filled in with that color. Change it and see if it makes a difference....

I tried that and it didn't work, and that is what I typically do as well. I couldn't find it because it's a background image.

try 'panelsurround' or 'panel'

This is what it was, however the problem is that they are transparent bg images, which tells me they must be shades of grey or something. Because on the Blue, Black, and White skins you don't really notice it because they are grey/blue like, but on the Red and Yellow skins they stand out.

I don't understand why they wouldn't be like higher/lower opacities of a colored image though. Like take a yellow square and change it's opacity to see through it, but the levels of opacity would still leave it yellow and not gray.

I dunno...
