hi a user on my site was trying to post a javascript code on a post but only half of the code showed up...is there a reason

Javascript usually is part html. Do you allow users to post html on your site?

nope..that must be why...but isnt it bad "security reasons" to have HTML enabled in your site?

Yes, it is bad. So why do you want them to post javascript on your site? They can use the code tags and post it (or the html tags), but they shouldn't just be posting it directly into the post.
