Add-On Releases - Ibproarcade new post on highscore [Archive]

This should work with any version of ibproarcade..

This will make a new post only when a member bets anther members score...

Step #1
Upload the lang_Arcade_en.php:
arcade/lang/lang_Arcade_en.php and over write the old file..

or you can just add this to your lang file...

#thread on new highscore
hs_post_text2 => "The highscore of ",
hs_post_text3 => " in the game ",
hs_post_text4 => " ",
hs_post_text5 => " got beaten by ",
hs_post_text6 => " ,with a score of ",
hs_post_text7 => ".\n",
hs_post_text8 => "arcade.php?do=stats&gameid=",

hs_post_text9 => "]Click here[/url] to check the highscores or here (,

hs_post_text10 => "arcade.php?do=play&gameid=",
hs_post_text11 => ) to play the game and claim back the highscore !\n\n\nEnjoy the Arcade :)\n\n",

Step #2
Import the product-newpostonhighscore.xml file..

Step #3
Go into your admincp >> vBulletin Options: IBPro Arcade Post on New Highscore

Add: Under which exisiting Username will make the New Post.

Add: The exisiting User ID who makes the Highscore Post.

Add: The Thread ID where we append the New Highscore Posting.

Step #4
Now go bet someone elses score to see the Post..

Interesting, because my board is fairly new, I have a lot of games with no highscores at the moment. So it doesn't log the first highscore? I've just seen it post when someone who has already got the highscore, is beaten.

must we have both hacks or only this for posts?

i make one thread - Highscores and put my username and my user id in options in admin cp ... but can not see any post!

Well it's installed but I can't test it because I can't beat anyone's scores :) I'll let you know how it works out for me when someone comes and does what I can't do haha.

Also, what's the difference between

I'm still using the old version of new posts on highscore. There no file edits and works great with 370 nd has threads and post options in it. Still good work on this.

The old version was giving some members the (No Users Matched Your Query!) error..

Adding the user ID back fixed that error..

What I did with my version was change most of the info to the lang file so you can edit it easier,,if you wanted too..
Added bold user names and game name..
Added game image too..

I never got the error personally myself, actualyl didn't hear about it til you just posted it but that adding image in there does make it tempting for me.

I'm having problem with Step 1. When I go into adminCP, and look to upload a language file, it's asking for an XML file, not a php file.

Please help clarify Step #1 as I've never messed with languages/phrases and don't know what I'm doing, LOL>

Got a problem with this :

Have installed and it's sort of working but the text in the post is not diaplaying properly.

Have edited the lang file as per instructions but this just seems to trash the whole arcade.

Any suggestions ?

There's no login required to access that URL - the mod put up the two posts by the ArcadeMaster user - can you view them?

ignore the second half of step #1, though...it's missing two strings (hs_post_text10 & 11)...make sure you copy+paste those from the enclosed language file.

New Thread or New Post Arcade Master Avatar

I created an avatar image for my fake member who I termed "Arcade Master". He makes the new posts or new threads using this mod or the one which is related so he needed his own avatar!

You should use $postdm->set_info('is_automated', true); to skip the "spamcheck"

Also use the vb Phrasesystem and not the textfile;)

i dont know what this mod has to do with creating new users via the admincp, but I receive this error when attempting to create a "test" user:

Fatal error: Call to a member function do_affiliates() on a non-object in /home/iamleti1/public_html/forums/includes/class_dm_user.php(2956) : eval()'d code on line 12

it goes away when i disable this mod. The user will get created even though this error occurs

Love this mod, working just fine and all, but....

Looks like this mod is conflicting with "Members who have posted today" mod

Problem is that under mentioned mod I got shown some users who did not make any posts, but they are displayed, looks like "new post on highscore" is updating the lastpost time for some of my users, users which got some highscores in that time...other who did not made any highscores are not trouble....

And Iam not shure how to resolve that

Any help on this?

yeap whenever that "user" made a post about new highscore I got user with highscore listed in "Members who have posted today" mod.... saying that he has posted today

But I still got same issue as before, conflicting with Paul.M's "members who had posted today" mod. When user beats someones highscore he is also listed in users who has posted, even if there is no any posts by him on that day.

I had it disabled sheesh, it's posting but I get a message saying it can't find table even though everything seems to be functioning. Can you explain to me what I need to configure and how? I have 2 sites I need to get this working properly on.
