Please make sure there isn't any other products that add features to the quick reply already installed on your forum board, that's mandatory for using our product smoothly without any problems since our product supposed to control the whole quick reply & by the way supply you with all features that you may need.

Hi,

I think I found a bug that is probably related to another bug which was posted recently.

I'm using the latest mod version (4.0.110) with vB 4.0.3. In mod options:

in "Thread Options: Enable/Disable Options" I have "Show Signature" unchecked
in "Thread Options: Checked by default" I have "Show Signature" checked


What I would expect with these settings is that I don't have the checkbox for showing the signature in my quick reply box but that the signatures are enabled. What I observe is that I don't have the checkbox and signatures are not shown. If I click "Go Advanced", I can see that the "Show Signature" checkbox is unchecked. If I enable the first of the options I mentioned earlier, signatures are shown regardless of the second setting.

Can someone verify this behaviour?

I've noticed a bug on 3.8.5. After quick replying with attachments and pressing Post Quick Reply, the attachments are still shown under the Manage Attachments button. Although the post has been already finished...

Correct, I got this error:

There is no such folder called phpkd/vblvb/install.php there for the plugin in the xml asking it to read is failing.

Well, not sure what happened. I had it working on 4.0.8 (I think)... and as of this morning, whenever I try and post a quick reply, I get an error message stating that:
The following errors occurred with your submission
The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 1 characters

Well, I have more than 1 character in my replies... but it isn't taking.

I disabled the mod, and it still didn't do anything. Then, I completely uninstalled it... and still nothing. Still getting the same error.

Any ideas???

TO add on to this... I just found out that if I hit the back button after the error... and type into the quick reply box again... it will submit. But it won't submit if I just enter the thread and try and quick reply.

Well, I had to uninstall everything, remove all the files from the server, and upload a clean vbulletin_quick_reply.js file. Everything is back to normal.

I look forward to an update to this for 4.0.8.

Yeah, I just did the same thing and everything seems to be ok... I am using 4.1 patch2 with no problems so far. I changed the max version to 4.1...

It does not exactly fit well with the custom style on the site I am working on but it should easily fixable..I have set the options to use the style I am using but iut does not seem to be using it..still seems off.. Still a great mod..

Something is wrong with this mode. It is allowing ajax quick replys only for supermoders. Everybody else dosn't see anything when replying via quick reply. After Refreshing the page you get to see what you have posted...
I will also miss the nice attachment management in advanced quick reply, but I need to unisntall too...

have you tried to install this on a test forum, this is something i would advise
like myself, i would install another instance of vb4 pl3 on /vb4testing/
install the mod and test it simple, this would be allowed as long as its not for live and testing purposes only, and possible password protected folder for your own access

Just wanted to *bump* this thread to encourage compatibility update with 4.2.0. That is Request #1. :-)

I installed this on 4.0.8 successfully, replacing MARCO1 Advanced Editor because we need the paperclip function.

Request #2. Make this mod work for Quick Edit also.

There are many people still on <4.1.4, so if #1 is too much time, #2 would still be great for lots of admins running 4.0.8-4.1.3 vBs.
