This is my First modification here on vb.org and I've been using in for a while

What is this modification for?
This is a very simple edit in a template to view the Admin CP link on navbar, so instead of going down all the way to the footer to find the admin cp link, you can put the link on the navbar so you will no longer need to go to the footer. and yes, it opens the link in new window, if you don't like this feature, just remove target="blank" from the code.

How to do that?
It's really very simple
just go to the navbar template of the style(s) that you are using and look for the following code:

<if condition="$show['member']">
<td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="login.php?$session[sessionurl]do=logout&amp;logouthash=$bbuserinfo[logouthash]" onclick="return log_out('$vbphrase[sure_you_want_to_log_out]')">$vbphrase[log_out]</a></td>
</if>

after that add the following code:

<!-- Admincp link on the navbar -->
<if condition="$show['admincplink']">
<td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="$admincpdir/index.php$session[sessionurl_q]" target="blank">$vbphrase[admin]</a></td>
</if>
<!-- /Admincp link on the navbar -->

Save and you're done.

if you like it and find it useful, please mark it as Installed.

Enjoy it..

interesting post, i never thought to post something like this, though i've used it for quite awhile. i use a side column on my forum, and i have a part setup for quicklinks for my mods and the couple admins.

maybe i'll go through the custom template edits i've done on my forum and post them one day :)

<if condition="$show['modcplink']"><hr width="75%" /></if>
<if condition="$show['admincplink']">
&raquo; <a href="moderation.php?do=viewposts&type=deleted&pp=10">Deleted Posts</a><br />
&raquo; <a href="postings.php?do=btu_view_all">Thread Bans</a><br />
&raquo; <a href="$admincpdir/index.php$session[sessionurl_q]">$vbphrase[admin]</a>
<br /></if>
<if condition="$show['modcplink']">
&raquo; <a href="$modcpdir/index.php$session[sessionurl_q]">$vbphrase[mod]</a>
<br /></if>

Sorry for my English, but has not sustained... The Author, Ingeniously! I, probably, never would guess how to add the reference in NavBar with a condition. Especially if the code can be found in other templates.

should there be any problem?

I have a question. If i add this on my custom template would it show it to register members?
