I have been trying to keep up with the thread tags on my board...but I don't know if those are just for the internam search feature or if google and yahoo ect will also pick up on them. I have been considering this VBSEO program and was wondering if anyone could give me feedback on it. Thanks in advance.

i use vbseo and i like it; se's like html pages much better than php, the thread titles are content-relevant, and there are lots of good ideas on their customer forum. while it was an investment, i think it wsa worthwhile.

on thread tags, it's both for s.e.'s and for a different way to find the info. but yes, the engines will definitely munch 'em.

I would not ever put another vBulletin forum online without 1st having vBSEO - the program is worth its money many times over and if you simply consider that the extra traffic has the potential to generate revenue via google adsense clicks - vBSEO pays for itself within one month of having it installed. It did on my forum!

JPiC is on page 2 of google for "Poetry Forum" which I don't think would have been possible without vBSEO - Now - I did do my own search engine optimizaation techniques prior to installing vBSEO - so I would recommend that you also have techniques in place as well, but vBSEO is a great help to get your forum pages listed in google and yahoo search engines quickly and efficiently.

My opinion. If you're considering installing vBSEO - Don't wait - get it and install it immediately - the results are stunning IMO. If you like - you can even visit JPiC and click my affiliate link :P ((To the Moderator who wants to delete my post... Please note - that little blurb was a bit of a funny-funny - It was not an advertisement - Get a sense of humor :erm: ))

Also note that any SEO isn't going to do anything if you don't have any content.

Yep - content is definitely key!
Unique content is even better.
