Blind vote

I am working with a client and they would like to have the option to have a blind vote set up but only during elections. does this hack already exist? i've never seen it done and if it isn't available yet, how hard do you think it would be to create?

they are a NFP and I am doing the work for free..

pretty much what they want is to not have the total vote displayed at all untill the end of the election.
