During my years spent on this forum, 80% of it has been spent filling in jobs for people in the "Requests for Paid Services" forum. Throughout that time, i've seen the idea for a trader system or something of the sort come about a numerous amount of times and result in nothing due to various reasons i'm sure which are understandable.
But what about a plain old forum where members can just post their experience with certain coders?
Or
What about you guys install my extra threadfields extension and just add 3 extra fields to paid requests.
Status, Hired Member, and Overall Experience
It sounds like a fair median between the staff and programmer's concerns imo, thoughts?

It seems like coming, although the idea of money managed through vB.org it gives me the 'jives-jives'

We have seen a lot of threads posted lately dealing with disputes between members.
Often these threads turn into endless yes/no games, slander or accusations that can never be verified.
Although we recognize the need of some members to make their experience public and the need to provide a warning to others, we can no longer allow this type of threads as they can not be verified and they disrupt the harmony on the board.
In the future, we might be looking into implementing some sort of feedback system for the Service Request forum, but this is something that will need to be designed carefully as a feedback system can also be abused.
So what should we do until there is a feedback system?
We strongly recommend posting a follow up if you have posted a Service Request. Simply provide a follow up post with the name of the member who took the request, and if you where satisfied with the result. Please do so if you had a positive or a negative experience.
PS Long slanderous posts as a response to the Service Request will also not be allowed, so keep the feedback short and to the point please.

Thank you for answering iogames. ;)
About opening the threads for discussion, this is how the forum started but we had to close it down for replies as the threads tended to turn into heated discussions.
