PM Popup window?

How do I get a popup window to appear when one has a new private message? I know I've seen a small window that opens and says "Click OK to open in a new window, or Cancel to open in this window" on some forum, but I can't seem to locate the mod. Searching has yielded zero results so far. TIA for the help.

its not a mod. I think...

simply go to admincp->vBulletin Options->User Registration options->Scroll down and look for Default registration options->and check the Pop up a Notification Box When a Private Message is Received

One can also disable this feature from his Edit Options under Private Messaging
