ok guys, I am wayyyyy to new to all of this.

I wold appreciate some help here.
first, what programms do I need to install vB in my laptop?, I downloaded MySQL need PHP also I guess, I had a guy install my forum in his server, but now I need to install it in mylaptop so that i can finish making cahnges & then upload new skins .

I downloaded the following plug in, pleasee correct me if I am wrong.

AME 1.2.0 I am hoping thats what I need so that I can embed YT videos.

DownloadsII5.0.8 should let me make changes & upload them thru ADMIN CP.

Spamdecimator 1.0.5 spamkiller

The quickest and easiest way to get an offline test forum is to use something like xampp

http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-windows.html

What this will do is install and configure everything you need to host the vBulletin software. This includes (but is not limited to):

- Apache (the webserver)
- PHP Engine
- MySQL (the database)

Once you have this installed, you can then take a backup of your live database and import it into your test DB, additionally copy the VB files from live to test.
