I want the forums to be like 2-4 px wider and in turn the white area around my board would be 2-4PX smaller
What setting do i want to change ?

Go to Admincp>stylemanager>allstyleoptions, then edit the PIX values for Spacer Size (pixels) (Spacing between the body border and the main content)

That was not it that changed
On your forumhome page, for example, you will notice there is a gap between the boxes that contain your forums and the outside border of your forum layout. This setting controls how large that gap is.
This isnt the Out side gap

Oooh gotcha!
Then go a little bit further down that pae to where it says "body" then in the right box you will see extra css values. Change those values to what you want. :)
margin: 5px 10px 10px 10px;
padding: 0px;
