redirect with no permissions, help

All I want to do is redirect anyone who can not view a thread be redirected to the register page instead of that page that tells them they don't have permission.

I'm using 3.6 and can find nothing to do this =(

What if they are registered and access a thread they don't have permission to? Obviously they wouldn't want to be redirected to the register page. IIRC correctly, the no permissions page has a link to the registration page...
