DI - BBCode [spoiler] 1.30
Product information:
It's simple BBcode. But all of released here was too "difficult" to install :p. This one is very simple :rolleyes:. It use jQuery (http://jquery.com/) javascript library v.1.2.3.
And can be usefull for large listing, for image hiding and so on...
Usage:

Installation information:
Files edit: 0
Templates edit: 0
Files to upload: 5
Time to install: less then 1 minute
Installation instructions: Upload all content in ./upload folder of plugin to your forum root directory
Import XML file through ACP: Plugin System > Manage Products > [Add/Import Product]
Optional: edit ./clientscript/vbulletin_css/spoiler.css to customize spoiler
Knowing problems: Not work if a quick reply or quick edit with AJAX functions was used for adding spoiler to post. You must reload page.
Tips: To edit default spoiler header when bbcode used without option - use that link ./admincp/phrase.php?do=edit&e[GLOBAL][spoiler_default_header] If you use english phrase and then translate it on your own language, you must rebuil post cache ./admincp/misc.php?do=buildpostcache

If you have very customized editor template (like in this post (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost.php?p=1528526&postcount=36)) and [SPOILER] button do not display you should add it manualy (if you want it of course :D):
In Style manager ./admincp/template.php?do=modify open your style and choose Edit Temlates
Open editor_toolbar_on template

I think that can't be fixed. Because JS included in <head> could not initializate spoiler that was not created or added when page was loaded. It initializate all spoilers only on full page reload.

Well, I've got to join the others.. if this will work with Auto-reply I'll make sure to install, most of my users don't bother going into Advanced mode so this won't help me.

Hi, i just installed your Spoiler Addon on my vB 3.7.0
Works perfectly.
But as I use a German board, I wanted to have the phrase in German, too.
I did as stated in your first post ( To edit default spoiler header when bbcode used without option - use that link ./admincp/phrase.php?do=edit&e[GLOBAL][spoiler_default_header] )
But the Text still says "Click here to see full text", instead of "Spoiler: Hier klicken um den ganzen Text zu lesen" (My translation).
How can this be fixed? good and right question (i don't know why it was deleted). Added TIP 2 how to fix it in first post.

Oh, I'm so sorry, of course I should have described the problem better. Well, here it is:
Using Firefox 3 I can see the spoiler bar, with the little + sign and all, but it does not expand to reveal the contents when I click it, which it should. To get to the bottom of this I tried it with both Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 2 and both worked without a glitch, but with Firefox 3 nothing happens when you click to expand. Firefox 3 supposedly handles overlays/layers differently (some other sites I frequent has had problems with this - such as http://wigflip.com/roflbot/ - but solved them with workarounds), but I do not know if your addon used any kind of overlays or something of the sort.
I realize this could very well be a bug in Firefox 3 and not something you can or should try to fix, but seeing as more and more people on our forum (currently 15% of our userbase, and climbing) is using Firefox 3 we had to stop using your addon to not alienate them, which would drive them off the forum rather than changing their favorite browser.
I am going to post this at the Mozilla forums too, to see if the error is on their part.

Press language and phrases -> search phrases -> text search = "Click here to see full text" in show thread phrases -> find
spoiler_default_header -> EDIT -> "Spoiler: Hier klicken um den ganzen Text zu lesen" in your language -> SAVE
Maintenaince -> Update Counters -> rebuild messages cache and Rebuild Thread Information -> Enjoy

You can completely disregard from my error report. I have no idea what went wrong the first time, but after uninstalling your plugin and then installing it again, it worked flawlessly with FF3 too. Sorry for wasting your time with a faulty report. I should of course have tried reinstalled it before reporting.
Oh, and I have a question/request: Is there any way of stopping people from "nesting" the spoiler tags? People quickly figured out you can put spoiler tags within spoiler tags, and apparently in their minds it's super fun to do that to a depth of say 20 spoilers inside each other. :rolleyes:

Ehm, i cant seem to make this work with vBadvanced CMPS
The text "Click here to see full text" shows up, but im guessing something isnt working with the paths or if it's CSS code causing it, not sure what i can report..
Useful mod. Well done! I have installed it and everything is fine except for the "advanced" editor with a specific skin. There i get "Wrap [SPOILER] tags around selected text". What's wrong?
Finally one question. I wanted to have the spoiler tag in the quick reply editor. I edited the templates for all my skins with this code

but it didn't work good on the same skin as before. I changed the stylevar with the full path to the image and then it worked. But why this is happening while the other skins worked good with the stylevar ?

I also had the spoiler and other JS mods (ie: Image Resizer) not working after a user performs a quick reply or quick edit. However, after installing these 2 cool mods by PHPKD, I no longer have that problem! The 2 mods are:

Not sure how these 2 mods fixed the problem, but hey it's working! :D

Perhaps I'm missing something really obvious, but since there is only one spoiler.css, how can I customize it to match my other styles. It looks/works great in default, but I need to change background colors etc for my other styles. If I do that, it looks horrible under the default skin.
What am I missing?

I found bug when spoiler images are not displayed:
if forum is installed not in root dirrectory of domain.
i mean, i got vs installed here http://www.somesite.com/forums/ - but spoiler.css uses images only from respective to root dir:
.folded {

background: transparent url(/images/misc/icon_plus.gif) no-repeat left center;
padding-left: 14px;
}
.unfolded {
display: block;
background: transparent url(/images/misc/icon_minus.gif) no-repeat left center;
padding-left: 14px;
}
so i fixed by adding "/forums" to URL in spoiler.css.

I have problem on my 3.8 it's work only in first post (not first post of thread but first post it used), other spoilers in thread don't work :(
Also my image resize hack (http://www.ncode.nl/vbulletinplugins/) don't work within spoiler :(

But there is a little bug i think.
1.) Create a spoiler and submit the Posting.
2.) Edit the spoiler and submit the changes.
3.) Now you will see, the spoiler doesn't work anymore. you can click, but nothing happens.
Only this two ways are possible to make the spoiler works again:
1.) reopen the page or
2.) refresh the browser window
That is not so good i find...

Hello, guys.
Fix spoiler on quick post/edit is quite trivial. Main what we must doing it is attach event handler not only to page ready, but to post add/change too.
Please see attached patches.
One additional note. In archive bundled 2 patches, first, called "quick-post|edit.old.patch" is "quick" fix. But I also suggest (really this idea was by Plague admin of imho.ws ;) ) move function initSpoilers and its attachment to document ready event into external file to allow caching it by browser. And full changes present in "quick-post|edit.patch".

What image now set for button? Adjust path to where you place it.

you have to correct the path to the image. You can find it in the "spoiler.css" file in:
...yourforum/clientscript/vbulletin_css/spoiler.css

EDIT: I created my own BB Code the old fashioned way and did not install this mod so to speak, but I don't see why it wouldn't work on 3.8
If not, just add the following BB Code.
In the Admin CP Click Custom BB Codes then select Add New BB Code. Fill in the blanks with this information.

There is a little bug here.
This product doesn't handle private messages.
The fix is very simple.
Just add this one to plugins section:

Have been using this Spoiler for ages now, and I love it dearly, but it does not work in PM's or in Visitor Messages.
Does anyone know how to enable this in PM's and Visitor Messaging? I tried to use Makc666's example to make spoilers in PM's work, but I have no idea what to put in the Hook field for example.
