View Full Version : Help! RSS Feeds... error on more than two feeds.

I have 4 RSS feeds running through the Feed Manager.

The first two work fine.

vBulletin can't grab content for any feeds beyond the initial two. I've tested multiple feeds & it's not a problem w/ the feed itself. I get this error:

Warning: Unable to fetch RSS Feed in [path]/includes/class_rss_poster.php on line 228

Any ideas what's up? This is a fresh 3.7.0 install.

Thanks!
Scott

The first one went to feedburner and the second came up fine for me.

oh... they're through Feedburner.

problem 1 solved.

problem 2: vB isn't pulling content from Feedburner, just the link.

With vB 3.7, the first one runs without problems for me.

The 2nd one doesn't work for me: Unable to open URL or no data returned

The 2nd one worked fine for me. Strange how it works for some and not others.

weird... okay, so is there a trick to getting Feedburner feeds to work? I can successfully grab a feed, but it doesn't pull any content (using {feed:content:encoded} or {feed:description}), but it does grab the title & URL.

thanks...

I left my Body Template at default and it spit out content:
{feed:description}

More... ({feed:link})
The only thing I changed from default was "Maximum Items to Fetch" which I set to 5 instead of the default of 0.

Lynne: using this one?

http://www.futureofrealestatemarketing.com/feed

That doesn't work for me in vB.

However, loading it in a browser kicks over to:

http://feeds.feedburner.com/TheFutureOfRealEstateMarketing

...and all works now. I tried to add the content inside of a quote, and for some reason that was my problem. Go figure.

thanks again :)

Yeah, I am using the first feed you posted and it worked for me. Oh well, I guess you got it to work so that's good.
