Could you elaborate on your request? What exactly is a sub profile, and how does it differ from a regular profile? Why would it be better to include everything in a sub-profile vs including it in a regular profile?

well for example say someone has a car related site... a member could want to add another profile with say his/her other vehicles with a completely different details and pics. say they have 3 or 4 vehicles.... 3-4 different profiles but all linked to the same main profile.

Do you mean something like a page where a user can put whatever they want on it and is the only thing that shows?

no a page that looks exactly like the profile page but is linked to the main one....say a little box on the main profile that says "my other profiles" and then inside that it has small profile pics of each profiles...then when you click on them they goto each sub-profile of that person.

Well in 3.7 there are tabs, wouldn't it just make sense to add an extra tab with custom profile fields? I can't quite picture how you'd want your sub-profiles to function, as it would require too much coding, essentially re-creating what has already been done, and then some. It would make more practical sense to simply enhance the current profiles to your needs.

The profiles have been completely redone for 3.7. Here is an example:

You will notice the tabs, you can search forums here on vb.org and create more tabs, and fill it in with your own custom fields allowing to display the content you wish, or that of the users preferences.
