Noob Template/CSS question

Hi Everyone,

I've just taken on a project where I have to completely replace the entire template for vBulletin with all new html. In fact the new template is so different from the existing one, it will be completely unrecognizable as vBulletin. It will also use all new CSS styles. So the only part of vBulletin left will be the back end.

I have figured out how to upload a new template, and I have uploaded the new images to the proper directories. I have also made changes to the main.css and added in new styles.

I have also added in the vBulletin header and footer code into the new template. The problem I am having now, is that when I preview the new template from the "edit template" area of the style editor, none of the css and image changes are showing up.

I'm also unclear on how I get all of the content to be pulled into the content area. Also, there will be many new profile fields. Not sure where to make new variables for these either.

Any information will be greatly appreciated,

Make sure you have put the CSS in the additional CSS box.

Also if you have the CSS file generation turn on make sure vbulletin can write to the directory.
