How to add custom messanger

Hello.
I'm from Poland. Here most popular IM is GG (Gadu-Gadu). I'd like to add at least icon with that messanger to user profile. I know i can change some other IM (like AIM, that isn't popular here) to GG, but I'd prefere to add new messanger. Could someone give me instruction how to write a mod for it? I knot PHP a bit and HTML, but i can't figure it out how to do this in vB.

All i want is to add custome IM ID in profile (numbers only), and icon next to every post of user.

I seem to recall someone once publishing a mod to add gmail, but I can't find it. I think the way to tackle this would be to basically find all instances of "yahoo" or "skype" in the code (one of the other messengers basically) and copy/modify that code for your use.
