Forum new post display each section of forum

I have seen this on another forum and have looked through for every mod could think of for it and nor find it here... What I am looking for is to have a link in each forum to todays posts and a search option.

I have added a pic of what sort of thing I am after I have a feeling its already out there...

Its a simple template edit... I'm not home to poke around but all you need to do is edit that template and add the links with the variable name at the end. You can probably find the variable you need in the spot where it would display the link to the forum.

Ok thanks for this will give it a try and see what I can do not to good with the template mode but willing to give it ago on my test site and see what happens?
