ANYONE STILL USING THIS PLUG-IN?

If so, please update to v1.8.0 (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=203353) - I am planning to publish version 2.0.0 for vBulletin 4.0 using this old Plug-In ID.

V1.0.0 Features

Hide or edit the SubForums: display
Add thread & post counts after SubForum names
Allow a DEFAULT layout of between unchanged, 0 or 1 to 5 columns
Allow INDIVIDUAL SubForums to be specifically set as unchanged, 0 or 1 to 5 columns

Tips
To get it on the Forum Home page, set the "vBulletin Options" > "Forum Listings Display Options" > "Depth of Forums - Forum Home" to "1".

For all other pages, set the "vBulletin Options" > "Forum Listings Display Options" > "Depth of Forums - Forum Display" to "1".

You should also set the "vBulletin Options" > "Forum Listings Display Options" > "Depth of Sub-Forums" to "1". Setting it higher will also work, however, beware that the grandchildren & indenting does not integrate well if using alphabetic sorting (use Forum Display Order sorting instead).

If the following templates have been modified from their original, either "revert" them or test this Mod carefully before use:

forumhome_forumbit_level1_nopost
forumhome_forumbit_level1_post
forumhome_forumbit_level2_nopost
forumhome_forumbit_level2_post
forumhome_subforumseparator_post (ignored)
forumhome_subforumseparator_nopost (ignored)
forumhome_subforumbit_post (append only)
forumhome_subforumbit_nopost (append only)
header (append only)

WishList - Other Ideas

Remember collapse state [eg : cookie] (high)
Number of people viewing count (med)
Enable/Disable for certain styles (med)
Different formatting for each SubForum depth [child/grandchild/etc] (low)

Please add the function to rearrange subforums. By default subforums are listed in alphabetical horizontal order, but many vb.org members have requested the function to rearrange in alphabetical vertical order. Example:
Now:
Forum A - Forum B - Forum C - Forum D
Forum E - Forum F - Forum G - Forum H
Forum I - Forum J - Forum K - Forum L

I would like:
Forum A - Forum D - Forum G - Forum J
Forum B - Forum E - Forum H - Forum K
Forum C - Forum F - Forum I - Forum L

Please consider to add this.

Any ideas? For example, the top row of Sub-Forums should read ABAP Hints, Tricks, and Tips.

I figured out that problem - no commas in the forum name.

Hi Josie,

Yes, the ", " (Comma followed by space) would be recognized as the separator between the forum names. You can rename the forum as "BAP Hints, Tricks, and Tips." and it should be as you desire ;-)

Update : I've changed the code so that it now works with forums with ", " (Comma followed by space) in the name ;)

Actually, the SubForums are listed in the display order as specified in the forum settings. This means you can fully control the order in which they will appear by simply changing those values :D

To make it even easier, I have added the sort as you requested ;)

First of all, grab the 3.7.x version here : https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=181939. There isn't any real difference to this one though - make sure you go to the options and enable it, choose the forums and features and away you go!

New update available for 4.0.x (WILL NOT WORK WITH ANY 3.x version of vBulletin) (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=233084)

The latest version for 3.8.x also works for 3.7.x and 3.6.x (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=203353)

If changing PlugIn version (eg: 3.6.x version -> 3.8.x version) - Install the new one, copy the settings from the old one, disable the old one, enable the new one, uninstall the old one
