I've got major problems with my forum. (database) and have been told;;

if i delete my database, and recreate it, if im lucky i wont loose everything.

It sounds abit dodgy to me, but isit worth a try? or isit complete nonsense

Database is what stores everything... delete that and your forum is gone. Unless they mean delete your database and restore a backup. It maybe easier to seek assistance with your problems. Otherwise restoring a backup would probably be your only option, however and posts/new member/threads/changes that have been made since (the backup was taken) would be lost.
