Like this (http://www.islandncs.com/ad/guestbook.php) one? Now that vb2.0 is Gold I will finish it and post it when done.

The header and footer will be added, give me about a week maybe more to complete this as I am busy with other things as well.

Do you still have plans to release the guestbook hack?

Uh, you responded to a thread that's over one year old. I think they've probably given up a long time ago.

I have done that 1-2 times myself, I never returned to the post (because, well...you know why ;)).

Instead of creating a special vb hack for guestbook, I think it would be much easier to apply a free guestbook script to your site and if necessary make some modifications in that script to integrate it to vb. Writing a guestbook script is not an easy one, I wrote it one, I know. :)

Frankly I dont get point of integrating it to vb anyway. Wouldnt be nice that your non-vb visitors of your site can make comments in your guestbook too? ;) If you want only members to post, I believe you dont need a guestbook: Just create a special forum or thread named "Guestbook" or "Site Feedback" and your members can already post there.

My 2 cents, thanks for bearing me..

Logician

Ps. Regarding replying to old threads: Not because it's my hack, but I really believe the hack "blink date if message is old" is very simple yet useful hack. It successfuly gets the viewer attention and she will notice if she is replying a very old thread prior to clicking REPLY.

Oops forgot all about this...the hack was being worked on and never completed as I lost track working on other customers sites. I have a semi completed (lacks admin piece) that I can send you if you want to finish it. It is a freeware script that was converted (with the authors permission) to work with vb templates.

I didn't realize the thread was a year ago but anyway, I'm looking for a guestbook for users to have of their own(for other users of the forum to leave comments in the users guestbook), not a guestbook for forum feedback/comments.

Ahhh....this doesn't work this way. This is a site guestbook for comments/feedback. Something like what you want would require alot of coding.
