Hi,
We are running a Vbulletin board on a hardware site and we get many questions on the board.
If a question is answered we usually close a topic to prevent "off topic talk".
But on the forum index it doesn't look very kind with all those locked threads. Now I suddenly came with the idea to hack something ellse in the board:
A function that 'completes' the discussion. I mean that it needs another image like this one:
http://www.elpie.dhs.org/~elpie/completed.gif
I'm sorry, I'm not talented when it comes to graphics ;)
In my opinion this looks much more friendly. The usual closing method can still be used to close a topic cause of spam, nonsense, offtopic chat, flames etc.
Thanks in advance.
