How to change forum index layout?

I want to change the way vbulletin forum index looks to something like the illustration i made. I'm really tired of the same old long scroll-through index. Plus I want to try having my adsense block right there with the forums.

Can anyone tell me or show me how to do this?

This isn't impossible, however it will require quite a bit of code editing. I would look towards Xenon's subforum hack and then some more tweaking for it.

I checked it out but it's really outdated and I'm switching to 3.7 soon. Do you know any coders that might want to help me with this, for a fee of course.
