I am running 2 forums and they both have so many spammers signing up each day it became a pain. I did put in a extra question in the registration process which drastically helps me decide who is there to join in and who is there to spam....but...now all my registrations have to be activated by me before anyone can post that is legit.
my question is... is there anyways that I can automatically sort all my registrations by the question that i asked... where it will show up like the join date and email on the prune user page? then I can quickly select the ones that do not answer my question and delete them all at once instead of having to go to each and every user and see if they answered the question properly..... it takes forever to sort through each one.
thanks for any and all help on how I can sort through these users. if I can go in and automatically delete the ones that don't answer the question or answer it wrong at a quick glance, it would save hours a day!

Have you tried any of the anti-spammer mods here?

no..that is what I am looking for....some advice on how to stop these people from even getting through the registration process so I don't have to go through and delete them to see if they answered my question right.

Well, just doing a quick search, this (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=151824) is the first result for mod titles that contain the word 'spam'.

hey..thanks!! I think i am gonna start with the noSPam! mod first, if I can stop the mass from ever registering with a simple question, that will solve the majority of my problem. I jsut don't want to go through the hundreds of new members a day one at a time to see if they answered my spam question correctly... this will do that for me!
thanks again for the help...installing it now!

Boofo's right. This one is amazing! It completely eliminated spam registrations from my board.

Actually, I was referring to the default email validation in vBulletin. I use reCAPTCHA along with the default email validation and have not had anyone register that wasn't a legit user. No bots have ever gotten past those 2.

I use the Is Bot: Registration Time Check (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=135094) mod that stops bots from registering. It has got to be the most amazing mod for us. I used to moderate all new users. I stopped doing that about two months after installing the Is Bot mod and we've only had a couple of spammers register since then. I installed the One-touch Spam Ban and Cleanup (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=156444) mod to help out with that.

Are you using both of those on 3.7?

My 3.7 is not live, so I have no idea if Is Bot works. The other appears to work since I tested it on there before installing it on my live site.

Is Bot looks like it should work on 3.7 so I installed it. I had One-touch Spam Ban and Cleanup installed but it seemd to not see all the threads and posts for each user and was set at 3 PMs to delete for everyone, so I unstalled until the author can fix whatever is causing the off readings.
