Hello everyone,

I run an online forum called SustainabilityForum.com and the URL for the vbulletin forum is........./forum

I want to install wordpress on the main URL, so www.sustainabilityforum.com.

Has anyone done that before? And if yes where there any problems? And you as a webmaster, designer, programmer do you see any problems with that generally?

I guess I only need to create a new database, install wordpress on the main URL and it should work right? Or would it screw up my vbulletin?

Or am I missing something?

Thanks for your help everyone.

Thanks for the link.

And if I would not want to integrate both but run in parallel that would also work? But then with two databases right?

Thanks again.

2 databases.....2 seperate user authentications.

Thanks.

So that means that I could not run the two next to each other? Is it a database issue or a do you mean by user authentications that people would have to register in wordpress again to comment on blog entries for example?

Sorry if that sounds naive but I am a little lost here.

You can run as many databases as your domain host allows. It simply means, they'll both require seperate registrations to comment or view or however you set your permissions to allow anything.
