admincp --> maintenance --> execute sql query --> pick the query you want to run from the drop down menu.

Sorry, you will have to check the db and find out what field that is setting and then run the query manually using phpmyadmin or mysql and set it to what you want.
If someone knows the query off the top of their head, im sure they will post if for you.

I don't think it's listed because it is probably not a good idea to do that without the users OK. Not all users want other users to be emailing them. If they did, they would set that option to Yes themselves in the User CP, don't you think?

I'd disagree with you on that Lynne, the user is using his site, they are using a public domain to make threads/posts, the owner can generally setup the forum how he wants to, if they dont want to get emails from the site they joined, then they shouldn't of joined it.
I would hope he doesn't set their emails to be displayed instead of using the form, that will most likely get him in trouble.

Well..
i imported all my 1400 user from snitz and they had mainly setted to receive email from other users. Now, after the import, all are setted to not receive. Moreover if i try to send email to user (logged as admin!) i can not do that, else if they setted to receive email from admin...

I guess we will just agree to disagree on that. Usually when you sign up, there is a button to check on whether you wish to receive email from other users or from Admins. I always leave it checked for admins, but unchecked for users. If someone wants to contact me at a site, they can use the PM system. I get enough junk in my email already.
