i second FRDS...
you have a new site, why ask the visitors to donate to make it live?!... it's just to ask for money ?!.. ask your parents first... you will see what they say.
the only moment you will be able to have cash from visitors is when your site is in danger and the members want to keep it alive... but an empty site?... nah...

I have a few things to say, and those are mixed in terms of positiveness. On the good side, your site has got a whole load of members for a very young site... but the bad is that they obviously aren't posting. I mean how can you have nearly THREE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED members and less than 70 posts? That's a great member count, but a darn well awful post count for the forum size. Ask why they aren't posting, try and get them to post. You could have a great forum if you did just that!
Secondly, your forum is a bit much overkill. You have empty forums, and nearly two pages of gimmicks in the first part of the forum a guest will see. Sure, some is useful, like the cricket stuff, and the shoutbox, but the rest is just a waste of space. Use ONE navbar, and remove all that big block of 'donate now' stuff.
Thirdly, your forum looks good in terms of style. However, it's not really related to your topic, and the style does not instantly tell me it's a cricket based forum. The forum icons are good, but you need a way more themed banner, and a few more cricket icons to reinforce the point. You've fell into the trap of premade styles, I think (is it a premade?) in that it has no real relevance to the topic. It could fit any kind of forum...
Smilies seem quite good, but you need more cricket based ones and sport themed ones. At least those are certainly not default.
Finally, as said before, it's seemingly absolute OVERKILL. Link effects? Table at bottom like vBulletin.org? Few hundred modifications? Keep the stuff linked in the navbar, but cut down on the rest and remove the link hover effects, they're just offputting.

Oh, that explains it then. You may want to tell them, when the site is launched that it's open so they get more active...

Wrong thing to do, steal members from another site... even if it is your site.
did you ask these members if they were interested to join at least?!... i would not like my username on your site without me registering on it... this is stealing identity...
if you want stats to show your site is popular, this is the wrong way to do it...

If your going to slap a big donation sign on your site I'd suggest that you do what the utility companies do. Draw your customers in, offer them something that will grab their attention or something they really need. Then after 3 months, Sting them with the infamous donation banner or in my case (direct debit).
Play it smart.

I think you had better calm down. Whenever you submit your forum for a critique, your going to get criticism on the negative aspects of your site. Think of it as tough love. Yes, we love you, we just don't like some of the grievances (pointed out in several posts) which you have chosen (and well within your right) to ignore with regards to your forum.
If people are offering their time to give your forum a review, and point out things wrong with your forum, I think you had better thank them first.
Anyway, back in the day (2007) I got a prity strong critique. I didn't tell people to calm down, I listened to the advice of what people said, and did the complete opposite.
