Sorry if wrong section (pre-sales but I don't know a good place to put this question)
It is about sales anyways.

When I purchased my vb, I got an email not long after about saying I can buy the owned version for an additional ($) etc...

When does this offer run out?

No that offer runs out after 40 (or 60) days. After this period you will need to buy a new license at the regular price.
