CSS or StyleVars for a Products/Plugins?

I know there is added space in the Main CSS for customized CSS... but is there anyway to do this for plugins? How can you attach CSS customizations to your product? Is making a language Phrase that is my CSS style the only way?

You cannot add custom CSS automatically through products, unless you query the database as part of the install code.

Or add the CSS to a template assigned to the Product.
