View Full Version : Remove CPF's from the About Me tab?

I have a handful of custom profile fields, and I have a new user profile tab for them all. The problem is, they show under my happy new tab, and under the About Me tab as well. Is there a way to have the About Me tab NOT show CPFs?

Insert generic bump message here. ;)

I believe it still uses the $customfields variable within the Profile Fields (about me) template... Try looking for that and removing it.

I've been tinkering with it, but with no luck. Here's the template itself, unmodded:

<div class="alt1 block_row">
<if condition="$show['simple_link']">
<div id="simple_aboutme_link"><a class="smallfont" href="member.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$bbuserinfo[userid]&amp;tab=aboutme&amp;simple=1">$vbphrase[view_your_about_me]</a></div>
</if>
<if condition="$show['edit_link']">
<div id="simple_aboutme_link"><a class="smallfont" href="member.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$bbuserinfo[userid]&amp;tab=aboutme">$vbphrase[edit_your_about_me]</a></div>
</if>
<ul class="list_no_decoration">
$block_data[fields]

<if condition="$prepared['signature']">
<li class="profilefield_category">
$vbphrase[signature]
<dl class="list_no_decoration profilefield_list"><dd id="signature">$prepared[signature]</dd></dl>
</li>
</if>
</ul>
</div>

The CPF's are part of $block_data[fields], but if I remove that, it removes all of them, including location, biography, etc. I have an entire category for one tab, and I want to remove just that category from the about me tab, since it's redundant.

I think what I need to figure out how to mod is the actual results of $block_data[fields].

Thanks though. :)

Edit: Screenshots for clarity. Here's my custom tab, with the "Gear Details" category within:

And here's my about me, with the same fields duplicated at the bottom:

isn't there a memberinfo_block_fields template to edit? Mayb you could add a conditional of sorts?

This are mostly likely populated within code, so code modifications may be required.
