Installing buttons

Hey guys, i got new buttons for my forums and i wanted to install them but i have no clue how to. I tried putting them into one folder and then linking the path to the selected folder but that doesnt work and i have no clue what to do, is there anyway someone could help me put them in the correct folders?

Which buttons are you trying to replace? Simply name each of your image to the image you want to replace and upload. Depending on which images you wish to replace, most are in the /images/misc.
