For some odd reason I can't get my shoutbox to work, quick reply, Text format icons, or vb experience to work correctly... Whats wrong! I have been having problems since the first start of the install...I am not a complete rookie at this either. I have had a forum before this and it ran just wonderfully. Now that I have completely reinstalled Vb and got new templates, I have been having nothing but problems! Please someone help! I am willing to pay!!!

Vb version: 3.7 RC
Template: OgenZen, Blue Sip (v3.68)
Site: www.haloscene.com

It seems like I am having problems with my Ajax. I am not sure though.

1) Have you activated ajax????
2) This is why it is best to wait for the stable version as others have said.

That is not a default vb style, therefore the support should be asked at the site you got it from.

As well, im sure the staff here will move this to the appropriate forum as there is a payment offer for help.

Do the features work in the default style?

oh that explains, the skin you have got has been downloaded and installed on the forum so therefore minor problems are occuring, try using an default style like snake suggested.

admin cp - general settings - enable all ajax features

Thanks and yes it was enabled to all ajax.

Another thing, I installed the Vb on a new sql database. The sql version was the newest one out. Could that affect anything? I read up on the differences and the newer sql has better security and features...so I used it.

Still not working? So the problem is that the quick reply buttons show correctly but when clicking them don't link anywhere?

No, I had to disable the click required to quick reply. Now all you do is just click in the box and you don't have to click the button. I am also still having problems with the shoutbox, vb experience, ect...

Oh I see, the shoutbox I may be able to help with

What is the problem with the shoutbox, don't the buttons load?

Everything shows up, but you can't use the shout box. It just continuously loads.

it MIGHT be because of this

Admin cp - Vbulletin Options - Scroll down to the shoutbox name - Open it - Enable the product etc... and set it viewable by certain usergroups.

Look for enabling the product + refresh rate

I have checked that many times...and also again. Still the same. Refresh rate is 30sec and it is viewable by registered members and administrators.

No point stressing over it as it ain't stable yet so if your planning to go for stable version and can't figure out a bug in the beta versions then I feel I might aswell wait.

No point fixing something that don't need to be fixed imo.

Sorry to hear you could not get it fixed but I tried and thats what counts.
