My leased license expires soon. If I don't renew it, can I still run vBulletin on my website?

I wonder this 2, does the forum just instantly go down?
Say if hosting don't end till e.g. September and vb runs out in June, what happens then>?

Depends on if you have an Owned or a Leased license.

Okay. So I have to renew it. I'll probably buy an owned license, so I don't have to do this every year...unless I want to upgrade.

The leashed was meant for user(s) to try the software. If they're satisfy, they'll get an actual license so they don't have to keep paying every year so they can run it.

Or those who wish to run a website for a year and that's it.

Owned Licenses' support expires, which means while you can still run vBulletin, you won't receive any new version updates. You can add an extra year of support by paying $30, anytime. On a Leased License, once it expires, you must remove it from your server unless you pay the fee for another year, which is $85.
