How do i set auto PM to new users when they get registered?

This is available through vBulletin Options.

Admin CP > vBulletin Options > User Registration Options

yea, i got there but i need to input username? i tried $username but it returns an error. So how do i activate it to send auto welcome pms to new members?

$bbuserinfo[username]

It will automatically send PMs once it's enabled.

hm... check out the attachment. I'm not able to exactly enable it... and i tried registering myself, not getting nay welcome msgs at all

Just put in your admin username or some other members name

most fields in vBulletin options aren't meant for variables for future reference
